. >>> the past couple of days, they are being pounded by big storms. pieces of that are coming this way. we may see a few isolated showers. this is typical heat and humidity for around here. as we get into the weekend, it is going to be excessive. let's get started. just a bit of debris is there now. just enough to knock the temperature down to 85 degrees. very pleasant there. elsewhere around the area, 90's are typical. 99 has been the high temperature in manassas so far. a little bit of a funnel system coming. this little bundle is moving to the southeast. you may see some of that here in the next few hours. that will move southeast so another opportunity for some parts. tomorrow afternoon, another chance of a few storms. then it is back to the heat and humidity. low of 90's across the board right now. a little bit of a breeze in quantico. this is not a made up number. it to issue a pretty good guide of what it feels like at the moment. it feels like 90 degrees in frederick at the moment. these temperatures are only going to get warmer over the next couple of days. 98 in minneapolis. 98 in ok

this morning. flames filled the night sky and big black smoke could be seen for several city blocks. the scenes sense owners rushing over to see the damage. all of them were shocked to find out something they worked so hard for went up in flames in a matter of minutes. >> i just bought the boats six months ago. >> if it's 40-foot speedboat was burned by the fire. he was just on the vote this weekend. >> i went out shopping for it yesterday. that boat is like my girlfriend. >> 9 is everything is gone, along with three others. the damage estimated at about a million dollars. fire officials say the fire broke out before 3:00 this morning. >> i had just renovated, quite a bit of money invested in it. now it's gone. >> firefighters if we're able to save a few votes by untying them from the docks, but others were not so lucky. >> is just a sad thing to be gone in such a short time. >> investigators are trying to figure out how the fire started. they believe right now started close to land. they are still counting their blessings the owners. >> good thing i was not on the boat. jummy olabanji, abc 7 n

in these camps. if your big focus is on food, and that has to be the number one problem here, you can give money to the world food program. they're feeding people in these camps right now. if your focus is on medical support and people arriving with common infections and things like measle, you can give money to doctors without borders.s. they're vaccinating, providing care, in the camps. if you just want to make sure the camps survive, you can give money to the international rescue committee. they're working in the camp we just saw. >> you have vetted the organizations for the amount of money they senento the region and actually put on the ground and the amount they give to organizations? >> that's so important. you want to make sure they have low overhead. these all do. these camps are doing great work. the problem's not going away soon. the soonest they predict there will be rain in somalia will be october. i've put on the web more information about these sites as well as others i think are doing a terrific job. abcnews.c abcnews.com/help. >> so check out dr. besser's recommendations for help
